Diary brand Amul is known for his topical on the relevant topics. The brand took to social media on Sunday to pay homage to the late Lata Mangeshkar. The \’Nightingale of India\’ passed away at the age of 92 on February 6 morning due to multi-organ failure.
Mourning the loss of the singer, Amul topical saw growth of her as a musician. The tagline on the artwork read, \”Hum jahan jahan chalenge aapka saaya saath hoga\’,\” while referencing her memorable song \’Tu jahan jahan chalega mera saaya saath hoga,\’ from the 1996 movie, Mera Saaya.
A state funeral was organized on Sunday evening to conduct her last rites which saw the presence of PM Narendra Modi, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Lata Mangeshkar\’s family members Asha Bhosle, Usha Mangeshkar, grandchildren, Shraddha Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Sachin Tendulkar, Ranbir Kapoor, Vidya Balan among others. Politicians Sharad Pawar and Raj Thackeray were also in attendance.
