Amitabh Bachchan calls Abhishek Bachchan his “pride” as he shares the trailer of Dasvi; praises his performance

Abhishek Bachchan who was last seen in the film Bob Biswas will next be seen donning the hat of an eight-grade pass Chief Minister who aspires to pass his tenth-grade exam in the film Dasvi. The trailer of the upcoming film was released earlier today. The social comedy tells the story of Ganga Ram Chaudhary, an uneducated, corrupt politician who finds a new challenge in prison: education. Now, passing 10th grade is his next manzil! With a quirky wife (Nimrat Kaur) by his side and a rough-tough jailor (Yami Gautam) on his trail, what happens to this roguish politician forms the crux of the plot.

The trailer has impressed many with its quirky elements including Abhishek’s raw and rustic Jaat avatar. Actor Amitabh Bachchan was also impressed by the trailer and the performance of his son. The megastar took to Twitter to share the trailer and wrote, \”You are my pride .. Bhaiyu ! all my love and all my blessings .. how differently you have portrayed characters, in film after film, with such elan !\”

“Bhaiyu .. my love and my blessings ever for this .. so much, so different from your last one and simply love the moves .. prayers are with you,” he wrote in another tweet commenting on the trailer.

Meanwhile, Yami Gautam will be seen in a powerful and piercing role of an IPS officer, while Nimrat Kaur is a delightful surprise as the feisty wife with a taste for her hubby’s beloved CM chair. Featuring many seeti maar dialogues as well as desi cool music, the trailer perfectly captures the mazedaar vibe of the film. Looks like the janta has a rollicking ride to relish this April!

Jio Studios & Dinesh Vijan present, Dasvi. A Maddock Films production, directed by Tushar Jalota, starring Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam, and Nimrat Kaur among others, produced by Dinesh Vijan and Bake My Cake Films, streaming on Jio Cinema and Netflix from 7th of April 2022.
