Shershaah received a massive response from the audience and the netizens as the movie was immensely loved for its patriotic content. Captain Vikram Batra’s twin Vishal Batra reacted to the movie and said that he had been carrying sentimental baggage inside him for a very long time and poured it out by spending time in isolation after the film ended. Vishal also revealed that the makers of Shershaah took 10-12% cinematic liberty but he and his family have no problem with it.
Vishal Batra had refrained from talking about his twin brother Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra and pushed his emotions deep inside for 22 years. As a twin, he constantly missed his other half, brother, companion, and best friend and it was a tough time for him. He wanted people to know the story of Vikram Batra’s bravery and great deeds. Vishal also expressed that whenever they speak about him they miss his presence and wished he was sitting with them.
Vishal Batra also gave his review on Sidharth Malhotra as Vikram Batra. He said that the actor has immensely done justice to his late brother’s character and lived up to everyone’s expectations.
