Kareena Kapoor Khan released her book ‘Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible: The Ultimate Manual for Moms-To-Be’ yesterday. Co-written by Aditi Shah Bhimjyani, the talented actress has revealed in the book not just invaluable pregnancy-related information but also about her own experiences.
At the very beginning, Kareena Kapoor Khan reveals the exact time when she got a hint that she might be pregnant with Taimur. She wrote that she was holidaying at Koh Samui, Thailand at the end of April 2016. She usually loves hanging out at the beach, having a glass of wine and partying at night. But on that trip, she felt unwell; her head pained and refused to go away. She wrote, “I even skipped a dinner party one night, which is very unlike me. I love parties!”
Towards the end of the holiday, Kareena Kapoor Khan recovered but once back home, the “headache returned with a vengeance”. Her doctor prescribed her rest and a painkiller but also asked her to do a pregnancy test. When the test came positive, Kareena revealed that “Saif and I were over the moon” as it was something they were looking forward to.
Luckily for Kareena Kapoor Khan, her first pregnancy was “amazing”. “Taimur never troubled me in my tummy, although he troubles me now”. She said that she didn’t have morning sickness but only felt tired. The headaches stopped within the first two months.
Instead of resting, Kareena Kapoor Khan felt energetic. She said, “I travelled for a large chunk of my pregnancy”. She first went with hubby Saif Ali Khan to her ancestral home in Pataudi. Later, they flew to Italy where they visited the world famous Sistine Chapel in Rome. She then added, “We went to every site, every museum in Rome and Florence. Saif has been an art history student so travelling with him is like a lesson in itself!”
That’s not all. Kareena said, “I partied like crazy too, often going to bed at 3 am.” During the course of the holiday, some of their close friends and even Saif’s daughter Sara Ali Khan joined her.
