Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani starrer Good Newwz completes 2 years today (December 27, 2021). The film turned out to be one of the biggest blockbusters of 2019 and also received a lot of acclamation from the audiences as well as critics alike.
On the 2nd year anniversary of the film, we take you back to an interview of the entire star cast with Bollywood Hungama. The film revolves around the concept of Vitro Fertilization and had a twist as the two couples in it get their sperms swapped. During the interview, Akshay Kumar was asked how important the concept of a film is for him. Replying to which Akshay Kumar said, “Concept is very important for me. I signed this film after hearing the concept only. I was not even aware of the script. I just heard a three-minute narration from Karan Johar and agreed to sign the film. It was just 3 minutes of narration, not more than that.
To which Kareena Kapoor who was also present there added, “Actually when I heard the script, I was the first one to sign the film. Because when I heard the narration, it was so much fun and it was very interesting. After Udta Punjab, I wanted to do something which was fun and it happened to be with Akshay. When you have to work with Akshay, it has to be something in this type of space that is fun and that is his USP which people love.”
