Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani starrer film Good Newwz was released on December 27, 2019. The film was based on the topic of the Vitro-fertilisation method of birth. The film took the sensetive subject and made it very interesting with the twist of sperm swapping between two couples it introduced in the plot.
The film completes 2 years on 27th December, 2021 (Monday) and for the same occasion, we bring to you an interview of Badshah with Bollywood Hungama where he talks about Good Newwz and reveals that that it was first offered to him. Badshah was offered the role of the Sikh guy which eventually was played by Diljit Dosanjh. During the interview, the rapper talked about how and when was the film offered to him.
Badshah said, “It just didn’t work out. But, it is very amicable. Maybe in future, we’ll work together (Me and Raj Sir). Talking about Karan Sir, this was the second film that he offered me. Before this, he offered me Lust Stories. I’m fortunate enough that I’ve been considered for both of these roles. I was in Manali at that time and saw some missed calls and then I called back Sir. I thought I might have done some blunder that there are so many missed. I thought it surely won’t be any good news. So, they asked me what are you doing in Manali and they asked me if I could come back to Bombay and I said yes and asked them for what. They told me to just come and I agreed. I went to his house, Sushant and he told me the concept and asked me if I want to do the film. I didn’t know what to say as I never thought of doing a film, I just wanna act. I was convinced and said let’s do the film. In the end, we couldn’t shape up to the final thing. I really what Diljit did in the film, I would have been the director, I would have gone for Diljit only.”
