Anil Kapoor turned nostalgic about his last film with Sridevi, Judaai which released over two decades ago.
On the day the much-talked about film Judaai that turned 26 years, Anil Kapoor took to Instagram to share a special note about the film. It was also the actor’s last film with his sister-in-law Sridevi. Readers would be aware that Anil and Sridevi have remained to be one of the most popular onscreen jodis of their time. The actors shared a great friendship off-screen and after the film, the actress had tied the knot with Anil’s brother Boney Kapoor. Recalling his Judaai days, the actor reminisced about how nervous he was to dance with popular dancing legends like Sridevi and Rangeela girl Urmila Matondkar.
For the unversed, Judaai featured Sridevi as Anil’s first wife whereas Urmila Matondkar becomes his second wife. Remembering the experience of shooting for the film, Anil took to his Instagram story to share two stills from the film, as he wrote, “This decision to do Judaai was not an easy one for me at the time, but I’m so glad that I chose to do it! I was paired with two beautiful leading ladies – Sri and Urmila and I still remember how nervous I was, dancing with Sri ji and Urmila as they both are such incredible dancers! 26 years later today, when I think about the film and all the memories I made I always have a smile on my face!”
On this occasion, Boney Kapoor too took to the social media platform to dedicate a post for this special film: Judaai was directed by Raj Kanwar and also featured Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Farida Jalal, among others.
Coming to Anil Kapoor and Sridevi films, the onscreen couple became famous with Mr. India and went on to do films like Laadla, Heer Ranjha, Mr. Bechara, Lamhe, Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja among others.
