Ek Tha Tiger is one of the most successful films that Kabir Khan has directed in his career. Fans were surprised when Kabir Khan decided not direct the sequel. Kabir said, “I can only speak for myself. It is very important for me to remain excited and begin again with the first installment or the second installment of that film.”
Kabir later continued, “Principally, I am a storyteller and once I am done with the story and the character, I am finished making the film and I am not living with the character anymore”.
He also explained, “I always think about what would happen to the characters in the film and I anyhow have a story in mind but it has never excited me enough to go back and make a story with those characters.”
Kabir Khan’s next directorial is 83 which is a story of India’s First World Cup. The movie is led by Ranveer Singh who is playing Kapil Dev whereas Deepika Padukone is playing the role of his spouse, Romi Bhatia in the film. 83 is all set to be released on 24th December 2021.
