Alia Bhatt made her Telugu film debut with the magnum opus RRR. The actress had a small yet pivotal role in the pan-India film directed by SS Rajamouli. The film which stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead have Alia playing the role of Seetha. While a small role, the actress actively promoted the film with the team. Now, a week after the release of the film, Alia shared a video of her talking about her many firsts as she made her debut in the South film industry.
In the video, shot when Alia was promoting RRR, she is seen listing out the many firsts she experienced while shooting for her first Telugu film. The first thing she said was that she learned Telugu for the first time.
Alia also revealed that she practiced a scene for a year-and-a-half for the first time. “For the first time, I learned one scene for one-and-half years because of the lockdown. So I started learning it because I was meant to shoot in one month and then we went into a lockdown and then I continued to learn it for one-and-a-half year,” she shared.
The actress also spoke about she had to colour her hair multiple times for the character. “For the first time because my hair colour was in continuity for another film. In RRR, I had to have darker hair. I had coloured the hair but when we went on set because of the light, the highlights were still seen,” she said. One of her team members then continued, “We went to the hotel and coloured the hair four times.” Alia also said that it is while shooting RRR, she ate biriyani for the first time on the sets of a film.
