After SS Rajamouli’s RRR won a Golden Globe Award in the Best Original Song category for Naatu Naatu, a web portal addressed it as “Alia Bhatt Ki Film” and all hell broke loose on social media.
As soon as the headline starting with “Alia Bhatt Ki Film RRR” surfaced online, the screenshot of it went viral and sparked a meme fest with many people even mocking the actress for it, which is quite weird, to be honest.
Reacting to the same, one user wrote, “RRR is as much an Alia Bhatt movie as Bahubali is a Nora Fatehi movie.”
Another user wrote, “Congratulations to #RRRMovie for winning the #GoldenGlobe for #BestOriginalSong! The track, Naatu Naatu, has now become an international sensation. Composer @mmkeeravaani is certainly deserving of this honor. but why is media labeling it as only Alia Bhatt’s movie?”.
A third user tweeted, “Even the tiger had more screen time than Alia Bhatt in RRR #GoldenGlobes2023”.
A fourth user wrote, “this is how nepotism works in cinema. Alia bhatt has to be the biggest nepokid with biggest advantages of all.”
Check out some of the responses below:
The film starred Jr NTR & Ram Charan in the lead role and also featured actors like Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, Olivia Morris, Alia Bhatt & Ajay Devgn.
The film revolved around the character of Jr NTR & Ram Charan and Alia had minimal screen time. In fact, her character can rightly be termed as a cameo. So, of course, calling RRR Alia Bhatt’s film doesn’t make any sense.
However, mocking Alia for the portal’s blunder isn’t right either.
