Fardeen Khan was one of the handsome faces in the Bollywood industry during his early years. The actor who is popularly known for his performance in Heyy Baby next to Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh recently interacted with Bollywood Hungama where he talked about how he handled body shaming and trolling.
The actor said, “It was tough. I won’t say it was a knockout punch. It was a hell of a punch to the jaw. It was not being mocked or being made fun of. First of all, the whole phenomenon of trolling was new to me. I think it was new to India in general. It was tough, I have never been someone who has been made fun of. I have felt stupid when I screwed up dance moves on sets, other than that no. It was a hell of an experience”.
The Fida star also added, “It was not that I was living in denial. I had put on a lot of weight, Yes, I did realise that it was more people’s surprise and in some case shocked to see me the way I was. I was quite shocked when I saw those pictures myself. You can either let it work for you or let it destroy you. I am not one of those who sits and wallows in self-pity, hurt and pain that ‘oh! I have been trolled’. I took it on the chin and moved on”.
Apart from this, Fardeen puts light on trolling and its side effects. He talked about how trolling can ruin somebody’s mental health, especially children who are naive and don’t know how to handle it all.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Fardeen Khan is all set to make his comeback with the film Visfot. The movie is co-produced by Sanjay Gupta, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Anuradha Gupta and is slated to be released in 2022.
