Jacqueline Fernandez made her Bollywood film debut with Sujoy Ghosh’s fantasy adventure film Aladin which was released in 2009. The film also starred Amitabh Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh. During a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Jacqueline spoke about working with Amitabh Bachchan in her first film and her experience.
Talking about working with a legend like Amitabh Bachchan in her first film, Jacqueline said, “Right in the beginning I worked with someone who is so highly professional. He was never late, in fact, he was always early. He knows his lines, we did a lot of rehearsals. At that time, rehearsals used to give me so much anxiety because you are at one table with all of these actors, and when it is your turn to say lines (shows getting speechless).”
“But I was glad that I was thrown into the deep end like that. Having Amit ji in my first film and having to do scenes with him. I remember having to do a song wth him and I could not move at that time. I had no idea what I was doing and I got shouted at so many times on sets. It was great to be thrown into that because it made me realize that if I want to be in this industry and if I want to continue working, there are thousands of girls who would want to be in that place. I should really work my hardest. I have been given a really amazing opportunity here and I got to learn so much from him, on how to be a professional. It was a huge opportunity for me,” she added.
Jacqueline will next be seen in the film Cirkus directed by Rohit Shetty.
