Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt starrer Sanjay Leela Bhansali helmed Gangubai Kathiawadi is all set to hit the theaters. Recently, Alia Bhatt shared her views and thoughts on winning a National Award. In a recent exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, when a comment from Gangubai Kathiawadi trailer was read, which mentioned Alia’s great performance and betting on National Award win for the movie, the actress reacted saying, “I mean I don’t know what to say when people say that because it come to me quite often and I just hope people enjoy the film.”
“It’s all a part of giving the audience the best experience possible. That’s my biggest award. Of, course there’s a lot of respect and value attached to a national award. It has not come my way so far but I’m saying it’s something that if it happens, it happens if you keep your head down, work hard and hope for the best for your film. That’s just a part of something that may come along your way or not. But the biggest award is the audience’s appreciation and love for the film,” she concluded.
Alia also answered some questions about Jr. NTR, Ranbir Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Sara Ali Khan, Ananya Pandey etc. She reacted to Jr. NTR calling her ‘Bun Maska’. She further said that Ranbir Kapoor is the best boyfriend ever.
Besides Alia Bhatt Gangubai Kathiawadi, biographical crime drama film stars while Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz, Indira Tiwari and Seema Pahwa play pivotal roles with Ajay Devgn featured in an extended cameo appearance.
The film will have its world premiere at Berlinale Speciale Gala Section at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival to be held from 10 to 20 February 2022 and will release in theatres on 25 February 2022.
