While several fans were disappointed after Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik’s break-up, sources told foreign media that “it’s much better that they have separated.”
Supermodel Gigi Hadid and singer Zayn Malik trended all throughout last week after their break-up. While several fans were disappointed, sources told foreign media that “it’s much better that they have separated” since their relationship was enduring the wrath of a pretty rough patch.
“Gigi and Zayn had a very destructive relationship when they were together romantically,” a source was quoted as saying by Us Weekly.
Last week, the supermodel’s family friend told People that Gigi and Zayn “are not together” but will continue to co-parent their 13-month-old daughter Khai Hadid Malik.
“Gigi stands by Zayn’s ability to co-parent well,” the source added while speaking to Us Weekly. Khai was born in September 2020 and things were fine for a quite a while after her birth, sources said.
However, three months later, Zayn Malik was charged with four criminal offenses of harassment after an alleged fight with Gigi’s mother Yolanda Hadid. Zayn released a statement on Twitter last week as he discussed a “private matter.”
The statement was shared after reports published by TMZ claimed that Zayn had allegedly hit Yolanda and she was, in all probability, looking to file a police report against him.
Associated Press reported over the weekend that Zayn had pleaded no contest to charges that he harassed Gigi and Yolanda during an argument. Zayn was accused of grabbing Yolanda Hadid and shoving her against a dresser, according to court documents.
Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid, who started dating in 2015, were in an on-and-off relationship since the past few years.
