Mahesh Manjrekar spoke his heart out when speaking about the bond she share with Salman Khan and said that he feels the actor is ‘lonely’. He stated that while Khan has many loved ones around him, he doesn’t have that particular someone to whom he can go back.
In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, the director stated, “Sometimes what happens is, there are somethings that I can talk to him which normal guy can’t talk. I always feel… and even tell him also, ‘Salman, tu shaadi nai karta uska issue hai mere ko [I have an issue with you not marrying].” He added that whenever he brings this topic up with the actor, “half the time he just brushes me aside but I really feel he needs someone to come back to.”
Manjrekar has collaborated with Khan on Antim: The Final Truth. The film is helmed by Manjrekar in which Khan plays the role of a cop and Khan’s brother-in-law Aayush Sharma plays a gangster in the movie.
Talking further about Salman Khan, Manjrekar added that the actor doesn’t have much desire. He believes that in this whole happy exterior he shows, there is a lonely person behind it. Director added that Salman does have some wonderful friends but at the end everyone has their own separate lives.
Over the years, Khan has been linked up with many women. He almost married Sangeeta Bijlani, but the wedding was called off. Lately, he has been rumoured to be dating Lulia Vantur.
