Puneeth Rajkumar daughter: Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar passed away suddenly on October 30. The 46-year-old superstar suffered from a massive heart attack which proved to be fatal. While his body has been kept at Kanteerava stadium, so that his fans can pay their last respect, there is no clarity as to when he may be cremated today. One report suggested that Rajkumar will be created in the evening after his daughter Vanditha comes back from the United States on October 30.
According to the latest report by the Times of India, the actor will be cremated on Sunday instead of Saturday owing to the growing crowd and the delay in his daughter’s return to America. The report added that the authorities have decided after consulting his family members to keep the last rites for October 31, 2021.
The Chief Minister of Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai spoke to the media about the delay because of the expanding crowd. He added that it would not be wise to perform the last rites after sunset and especiallyin the small space of Kanteerava studio.
Puneeth Rajkumar, son of popular Kannada actor Dr Rajkumar and film producer Parvathamma Rajkumar, was the youngest among five siblings. He is survived by his wife, producer Ashwini Revanth, and two daughter- Vanditha and Dhrithi.
Puneeth’s elder brother Raghavendra Rajkumar told the press yesterday that no call had been taken by the deceased actor’s family regarding his cremation as of yet. “Puneeth’s spouse is inconsolable and not in a position to talk. We will decide after discussion with all relatives,” he said, further adding that the family wanted to avoid the public tragedy that followed the death of Dr Rajkumar, where several people were shot dead due to violence that ensued.
Reports claim that two of Puneeth’s ardent fans died from cardiac arrest after hearing the news of his demise, while another fan died by suicide.
Puneeth Rajkumar had been feeling unwell since Thursday evening. However, he went to the gym for a workout on October 29. There he developed chest pain and was taken to Vikram Hospital, where he passed away. The actor had begun his career as a child artist, winning a National Award for his performance in the film Bettada Hoovu.
