The wedding festivities is scheduled to begin from tomorrow i.e. 7th December at the Six Senses Fort Barwara.

And now, according to the reports of Bollywood Life we have learnt some interesting details about how the wedding party from Mumbai will be welcomed in Rajasthan. A source from Sawai Madhopur told the reporter of Bollywood Life that grand arrangements have been made to welcome the bride’s and groom’s family. It is going to be a perfect Rajasthani welcome. The weather is also pleasant now, but tends to get chilly in evening but that too will be taken care of. The reports also revealed that guests will be welcomed with a traditional Rajasthani drink made of bajra called bajra rabri(pearl millet drink).

The purpose of serving bajra rabri is that it is a traditional drink and provides warmth during winter which will be served in sikora (hand made clay cups). Their welcome will be done in a complete traditional style, i.e., by putting teeka on their foreheads, giving them a coconut which is considered auspicious for the Hindus. As the weather is a bit chilly than usual, there will be no spraying of rose water but only flower petals and finally tying the kangan doriya which is used to welcome the guests traditionally in Rajasthan.

The guests will be allowed to their wedding venue only if they have taken both the jabs of the vaccine and must carry a RT-PCR report along with them to show that they have tested negative of novel coronavirus. Strict precautions are being taken amid the upsurge of COVID-19.
