Ayushmann Khurrana will be seen in a completely new avatar in his upcoming film Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. The actor who is known to take on challenges and break norms when it comes to his films built a bulky body for Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, Ayushmann plays the role of a gym trainer who is a weight lifting champion. He falls head-over-heels in love with Vaani Kapoor’s character who plays a Zumba instructor.
Ayushmann has built an impressive physique and will be seen flaunting his gains in the film. During a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Vaani and Abhishek revealed how they played a prank on Ayushmann asking him to strip on camera. Narrating the incident, Vaani said, “We tried to pull a prank on him. I told Gattu (Abhishek Kapoor), ‘Let’s convince him there will be a shot of him fully stripping exactly like how Ranveer did with his brief (in Befikre). Ayushmann was a little nervous initially, then he very politely said, ‘Accha karna padega, kar lunga’.”
Abhishek Kapoor further said that they told Ayushmann that it will be a butt shot. Interrupting him, Ayushmann said that he would do anything that the director asks him to do.
However, Abhishek said that if they had done a full monty, the censor board might not have passed it. “The censors might have not passed it or maybe if they had seen it they might have been like, this everybody should see,” he said.
Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui will be released in theatres on December 10, 2021.
