Sivakarthikeyan’s Dark Comedy thriller Doctor which was successful to pull the audience into the cinema theatres is now ready to come on the digital platform.
It is a Tamil language movie which was released on 9 October 2021, in both languages Tamil and Telugu (Doctor/Varun Doctor). The film is got an appreciation for the respective performances by the actors, its amazing BGM, Comedy & the unique story.

It was directed by Nelson Dilipkumar who also wrote the story of the movie. It was his second film. his earlier commercial success Kolamavu Kokila starring known south Indian actress Nayanthara was also written by him.

The film tells the story of a Military doctor called Varun (Sivakarthikeyan) who is engaged to Padmini (Priyanka Arul Mohan). the story starts taking a ride when Varun has to go to meet Padmini in Chennai for an important work, where he finds that Padmini’s niece has gone
missing. Which leads the story to the human trafficking business.
it is produced by Sivakarthikeyan along with Kotapadi J. Rajesh, made under Siva’s own Production house Sivakarthikeyan Productions with the collaboration of KJR Studios. Anirudh Ravichander’s music is being liked by the audience. on the technical front Vijay Kartik is the director of photography and the editor is R. Nirmal.

It was made up of a Rs 25 crores budget and has earned around Rs 60 crores (Approx.) as of now and counting. though we know that the film’s Satellights rights were acquired by Sun Tv. so, it was bound to happen that the film is going to Premiere on Televisions after the theatrical release.
DOCTOR RELEASE DATE ON SUNNXT AND NETFLIX PLATFORMS
Now, the news is airing that the Digital rights of the film are acquired by the streaming platform Netflix and Doctor is going to release on 5 November 2021 on Netflix.
So, the film is going to premiere on Sun TV channel on Diwali 4 Nov 2021 at 6:30 p.m and then it will start streaming on the Over The Top (OTT) platforms SunNxt and Netlfix from 5 November 2021.
