Four More Shots Please actress Maanvi Gagroo has shared her experience of working with Anushka Sharma on the film PK. The film starred Aamir Khan and late Sushant Singh Rajput. The actress revealed that they got to eat food cooked from Anushka’s home.
In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, while discussing about the structure of the industry, Maanvi said, “While we were working on PK with Rajkumar Hirani, the set was brilliant. There, everyone used to sit together and eat. There was never a thing that the stars and directors will sit in one corner and other actors and crew will sit separately.”
She continued, “I remember food used to come from Anushka Sharma’s house and everyone would get to eat from it. In fact, Anushka used to keep on saying ‘Only take little, it has to be distributed to everyone.’ Sometimes, it was Biryani, sometimes Halwa and I like to give credit to Raju sir (RajkumarHirani) for that. As the captain of the ship, there was no negativity on the set.”
She also talked about portrayal of women in Indian cinema. She said that there are no rules in this industry and that it’s not a structured industry. She also said that there’s not a dignity of labour in our country.
On the work front, Maanvi is known for her work in web series like TVF Pitchers, TVF Tripling, Made in Heaven and Four More Shots Please! In 2019, she portrayed the character of ‘Apsara’, a plus size woman in a comedy movie Ujda Chaman opposite Sunny Singh. She has also worked with Ayushmann Khurrana in 2020 film Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan.
