In a recent interview of Shakun Batra with Bollywood Hungama, the filmmaker talks about his favorite character from his forthcoming film Gehraiyaan. When the host asked Shakun to choose between Zain and Alisha as his favorite character, the director said “I have written all of them and I cannot take sides, I love them all”.
To which actress Deepika Padukone interrupted as she was in the same interview, the actress said “Ye diplomatic waghera nahi chalega (Diplomatic answers won’t work)”. Listening to Deepika talk, Shakun was confused and was not sure what to reply. The host also persuaded Batra into choosing one favorite character out of four but Shakun being himself kept up with his first response.
