India vs New Zealand 1st Test, Day 1: At lunch on Day 1, India have 82 runs on the board for the loss of one wicket at the Green Park in Kanpur on Thursday. Shubman Gill has registered a half-century on his return to the team after injury. Along with Gill, No.3 batter Cheteshwar Pujara who hasn’t reached the three-figure mark since 2019 is also going strong with the opener. Gill and Pujara have added 61 for the second wicket. For New Zealand, Kyle Jamieson is the only wicket-taker till now as he dismissed Mayank Agarwal early in the first session of Day 1. Both the teams have included three specialist spinners each in their playing XIs.
