India broke the record held by New Zealand, who had beaten Ireland by 290 runs in 2008. India’s previous best was 257 runs after posting 414 against Bermuda in the 2007 World Cup.
Sri Lanka were bundled out for 73 in just 22 overs after the hosts posted 390 on Sunday. Mohammed Siraj picked up 4 for 32 while Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammed Shami chipped in with 2 wickets each.
