Priyanka Chopra has joined the Matrix franchise and will play Sati in the upcoming The Matrix Resurrections. Priyanka revealed about Sati’s Indian origin and how bits of Indian sarees were included into her costume in a recent interview. his is also Priyanka’s first-time spending screen time with Hollywood star Keanu Reeves, and she said that the actor, who is famed for being the “nicest guy in Hollywood,” lives up to his moniker in real life.

According to her interview with Access Hollyaood, Priyanka recalled having a difficult day at work when they started filming after the lockdown. Priyanka’s first day of filming after over six months of lockdown, and she had a lot of lines to go through in one day, but as the day came to a close, Keanu approached her and gave her a pep talk. “He came up to me and he said, ‘that was a very difficult day and a lot to do, you did such a great job and you should know that,’” she shared.

She added, “When you have a day and you just need someone to tell you that, ‘you were alright, you did it and you were good’. I think he was very astute, he can read the room well and that meant a lot to me, especially as a new kid on the block in the movie.”

The Matrix Resurrections also stars Carrie-Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Neil Patrick Harris, and Jada Pinkett Smith, in addition to Priyanka and Keanu. Lana Wachowski directed the film, which will be released on December 22.
