The subtle beauty, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, claimed that she has “no expectations” from the forthcoming New Year, while reminiscing her ex-married life with Naga Chaitanya.
The Indian actress, who predominantly works is South Cinema, recently claimed that her carefully -laid plans got ‘crumbled’ in 2021. The actress made a reference to the decision of culminating their four years old love marriage, that left her shattered.
Samantha appeared on Film Companion’s retrospective for 2021’s best performers, where she decide to go vocal about her experiences after her separation from former husband Naga .
The actress talked about the merciless social media trolling to which she is often subjected, how it has become a new norm and tried to rationalize why this happens. She also opened up on the psychological destruction, she went through in the wake of her divorce.
When asked about her plans for 2022, Samantha said, “With everything that has happened in my personal life in 2021, I really have no expectations. All my carefully-laid plans have crumbled, so I have no expectations. I’m open to whatever the future has in store for me, I’ll give it my very best.”
She clearly stated that she she is ready to go with the flow, and will be open to everything and anything, whatever the future holds for her.
Samantha was also asked from where she found the strength to put her foot down against the backlash she faced after the divorce announcement, “I built it over the years. I remember crumbling and being sad. I believe that stars thrive on the love of their fans. I am extremely grateful for the love and support that I receive, she said.
Samantha further continued, “if her opinions and actions disappoints them, they’re going to troll you and abuse you, for disagreements happens between friends and family. The problem is with anonymity, that’s what rears its really ugly head”. She also added, “My only request is, I don’t demand unconditional acceptance. I did not say that, I did not ask for that. But there’s a manner in which disagreement or disapproval can be communicated. That’s all I wanted.”
What she only wanted was expressing disagreements in a more bearable and communicable way.
Samantha and Chaitanya announced their split on 2 October this 2021, proving the most-believed rumors correct, that persisted for a few weeks.
