Shah Rukh Khan is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in the world. A recent incident shared by Ashoka University Economics Professor is a testament to the superstar’s popularity. Professor Ashwini Deshpande revealed that she was able to make a travel booking in Egypt without prior payment as the agent was a fan of Shah Rukh Khan.
“Needed to transfer money to a travel agent in Egypt. Was having problems with the transfer. He said: you are from the country of @iamsrk. I trust you. I will make the booking, you pay me later. For anywhere else, I wouldn’t do this. But anything for @iamsrk. And he did! #SRK is (crown emoji).”
On Saturday, January 22, professor Ashwini Deshpande took to her Twitter again mentioning that Shah Rukh Khan acknowledged the incident and sent an autographed picture along with a handwritten note. “A very happy ending to this story. 3 photos signed by SRK arrived today, one with the nicest message for the Egyptian travel agent, one for his daughter & one for mine @Ketaki_Varma,” tweeted Ashwini. She thanked SRK’s manager Pooja Dadlani for making this moment happen. “Thanks @pooja_dadlani for getting in touch & of course to @iamsrk for the gracious gesture,” the tweet concluded.
In the handwritten note, Shah Rukh wrote, “Thank you for being kind to my fellow Indian. Very gracious and generous of you. May your kind of good souls multiply.”
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan recently resumed work on his upcoming film Pathan. The actor has been keeping a low profile ever since his son’s arrest by the Narcotics Control Bureau in October this year.
It has been three years since SRK was seen on the big screen. The actor who was last seen in the 2018 film Zero will be seen on-screen next year in Pathan. He will also be seen in cameo appearances in Tiger 3, Brahmastra and Rocketry: The Nambi Effect.
