Tusshar Kapoor has recently released a book, ‘Bachelor Dad: My Journey To Fatherhood And More’. As the name suggests, it’s about his experiences of being a single father and how and when he decided to embrace fatherhood. His son Lakshhya was born on June 1, 2016, through surrogacy and he became a hands-on dad. However, there soon came a time when he had to sign a film and handle both professional and personal commitments.

Tusshar Kapoor revealed that Golmaal Again (2017) was the first film that he worked on after Laskhhya was born. The actor said that he was lucky since the first schedule was held at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai, which was not very far from home. The shooting used to be held from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. Tusshar narrated that he would call Lakshhya to come to the set at 5:00 pm. This is because it was a time when shootings would halt for a snack break. Hence, the actor thought that he could use the time to meet his son.

Tusshar also felt that director Rohit Shetty realized that the former needs to have some time with his son and hence, would halt the filming when the 9-month-old baby would arrive. Tusshar wrote, “On certain days, it almost felt like my director was aware that Laksshya had arrived and orchestrated a timely break for snacks. I couldn’t be more grateful.” Tusshar would play with Lakshyya and then the latter would leave while the actor would finish his work.

Tusshar Kapoor wrote that he’d also roam around the Yash Raj Studios complex with Lakshhya. Among the Golmaal Again actors, he struck a chord with Tabu and Johny Lever.

A month later, the next schedule of Golmaal Again began in Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City. Tusshar took his son with him and it became Lakshhya’s first trip outside Mumbai. Tusshar Kapoor, at this point, revealed that his son, who was not even a year old, was able to recognize Tabu and smiled at her with excitement and affection every time he saw her. Even the versatile actress was pleasantly surprised.
