Ekta Kapoor is the queen of Indian television. She has several TV shows to her credit. One of her most recent popular TV series has been the Naagin series. Spanning six seasons, the series airs on Colors TV and traces the lives of shape-shifting serpents. The first season aired in 2015 and starred Mouni Roy along with Arjun Bijlani. The sixth season of the show will premiere next year.
Ekta Kapoor and Mouni Roy recently shot for a special episode of The Big Picture hosted by Ranveer Singh. In a promo video for the episode, Ranveer is seen auditioning for the role of Nagraj. The video begins with Ranveer saying, “Madam aayi hai, toh Nagraj ka audition de hi deta hoon main “. The actor wore a snake crown and danced to the popular song, ‘Main Teri Dushman, Dushman Tu Mera’. Mouni pretended to play the flute as she joined Ranveer’s performance. Reacting to his performance, Ekta said, “Iske baad Naagin ke zaroorat nahin padti, Nagraj ke saath kaam karungi.”
In another promo video, Ekta confesses that she had a crush on Ranveer and says, “Maine pehli baar jab Ranveer ko dekha, maine inki casting director Shanoo ko call karke bola ki ‘yeh actor nahi hai, yeh ek hotness ki machine hai’!” Ranveer exclaims as he found himself reaching cloud nine, “Meri value badh gayi yaar!”
Along with this, for the first time ever on the television screen, Ekta Kapoor will be seen dancing on her father Jeetendra’s hit numbers and doing his hook steps. Watching her groove like there’s no tomorrow, leaves Ranveer absolutely thrilled, and he says, “Kya kya nahi dekh liya iss manch ne! Ekta Kapoor Jeetendra ji ke steps kar rahi hai!” He then calls Jeetendra’s dance steps ‘iconic’ and ‘legendary’, while Ekta nods in agreement.
